Aida E. Rosario
Director of Communications, Univision 41 and Telefutura 68

Aida E. Rosario is the Director of Communications for Univision 41 and Telefutura 68, the Univision affiliates in the New York/Northern New Jersey market. 

She serves as the liaison between the station and the community and is responsible for overseeing the station’s communications department and for developing and coordinating all public relations, philanthropic contributions, and community outreach and media relations activities.  Ms. Rosario also plans and executes station’s community initiatives such as health, civic participations, education, and citizenship projects. 

Ms. Rosario, a native of Puerto Rico, began her career in television with WUVP-TV, the Univision affiliate in Philadelphia/Vineland, NJ.  She was among the original employees when the station began Spanish-language broadcasting in January 2002.

As the Community Relations Manager for WUVP-TV, Mrs. de la Cruz also produced a local public affairs show, “Voces del Valle” (Voices of the Valley).  The show provided an outlet for community leaders and organizations to discuss issues vital to the Latino community.  

In 2006, Ms. Rosario was recognized by the organization “Save Latin America,” during their Women’s Month Celebration for her contributions in media to the community.  In 2004, she was awarded with the 2004 Prominent Hispanic Honoree in the field of Communication for her accomplishments and valuable participation in improving the quality of life for Hispanics in the community by the Camden County Board of Freeholders and the Camden County Office of Hispanic Affairs.  She was also recognized for these efforts by the Office of the Governor of New Jersey, and the U.S. Senate and Congress.

Ms. Rosario was also recognized with the 2004 Media Partner Award by the Latino Employment Opportunity Network (LEON), for her contribution in improving employment opportunities for Latinos in Philadelphia.
