Culturally Competent Social Service Delivery to Latinos

OBJECTIVES:
To increase awareness among participants about the changing face of America as a result of exponential Latino population growth over the last several decades and the challenges that this has created for social service and human service organizations all across the nation.

To increase awareness among participants about existing disparities in the availability of, access to and the provision of culturally and linguistically competent social and human service delivery to Latinos and how these disparities are negatively affecting the population.

To assist participants in thinking about creative ways/best practices to attract, engage, retain and serve Latinos in social and human service programs.
